Troubleshooting on Windows 10?
The parts: -LTE module PCIe Key B connected to -mSATA/DUALSIM adapter connected to -SATA III adapter
Antennas are connected to the LTE module.
My goal is to use SATA III to connect to the motherboard.

Perhaps something more like this:

Do you have a slot available in the motherboard where you could plug this in?

I have to consider using either a/e pcie or m.2 nvme. Using the former replaces wifi 6 or using the latter replace 2tb m.2. Either lose wifi and bluetooth or replace SATA 2.5 ssd (10 times slower). I'm going to shop around for the smallest usb wifi/bluetooth adapter so that I can keep my 2tb nvme.

Is using USB an option?

Just to be perfectly clear, what make/model device are you trying to do this with?
It's bulkier. Why does SATA not communicate with the board in such a way that peripherals as such work? I've heard of U.2 and then I became even more astounded.

You need to go read something like the wiki on m.2 slots.

SATA is only 1 of the protocols these can run. Since the unit you are using is not a disk device it will not be running SATA. Hard to say exactly what it is running. You would have to look at all the option on a type "B" slot. Could be it is using USB.

The reason a "b" device does not fit into a "M" slot is the M slot does not run many of the protocols that B does.

It is tricky to say what you can convert back and forth. Most slots support some type of PCIE so the most modern m.2 storage devices might work, even though there are fewer pcie lanes on every slot except M. The adapter card must provide the logic to convert from whatever protocol your LTE card is using to something that is supported by the slot you are plugging into.

My guess would be your card is using USB but that is only a guess. So if you wanted to plug it into a M slot that does not have USB support the adapter card would have to provide the conversion
