5ghz only network adapter

Due to an unchangable controller configuration in our workplace, we have the need to use a USB wireless network adapter that is either single band 5ghz, or a dual band card with the ability to disable the 2.4ghz frequency... and compatible with Win8. Anyone know of a card with either of these options?

Can be done in drivers for most mPCIe cards (at least Intel ones). I'd assume USB are similar.
