Hello, I have a TP link T9E. Its currently connected to my universities internet on 5ghz and i only get 2/3 bars. How can i change to 2.4ghz? im presuming my laptop is getting better speeds as its got a better connection and its using 2.4ghz? i was hoping my pc would have roughly the same but its really bad compared to my laptop speeds, yet my laptop is really old. Thanks :)

You should be able to disconnect from the 5GHz connection and select the 2.4GHz SSID for your connection. You would do that in the wireless icon in the system tray.

You might find that 2.4GHz isn't much better though, as you are in a very high density environment -- i.e. there are way more wireless users than the hardware was originally intended to support as device use has grown exponentially.

Also the signal strength indicator is not a good indication of how fast of a connection you will get, as it does not account for the number of other users on that same radio.

ive gone in to there and dont see the option to change anything, i searched on windows 10 'network' clicked it then clicked change adapter settings, i then see two connections, ethernet and wifi card. what do i do now?
