Question 6 + 2 pin PSU connector

Hi! I'm a newbie to computers. So I bought a Power Supply Tester to test my 6 + 2 pin, the 6 pin worked(fit & working) but the 2 pin doesn't fit, are there chances that my PSU's 6 + 2 pin won't be compatible with 8 pin GPUs?

FSP500-60APN. There are 2 (6+2) pins

it should fit, it may need to be 'mated' with the 6pin, but there is only one 6+2=8 pin standard, there is a 4+4=8 pin standard, but this EPS and not PCI-E.
