I recently bought a Corsair 600w CX series and it supplied two 6+2 PCI-e connectors. Unfortunately, my motherboard only has a 4 pin. Is there any way I can make this work? Or do I have to return the item?

Solution
You split the 8 pin for your 4 pin CPU power.

6+2 is for Graphic cards.

You are looking at the wrong connector -- the motherboard needs an ATX+12V 4 or 8 pin connector that helps power the CPU and you are looking at the PCIe power connectors that go to graphic cards.

DO NOT attach a PCIe connector to the motherboard. Read your manual and understand what you need to connect before doing so or you will have significant issues that cannot be repaired.
