I recently bought a Corsair 600w CX series and it supplied two 6+2 PCI-e connectors. Unfortunately, my motherboard only has a 4 pin. Is there any way I can make this work? Or do I have to return the item?
You are looking at the wrong connector -- the motherboard needs an ATX+12V 4 or 8 pin connector that helps power the CPU and you are looking at the PCIe power connectors that go to graphic cards.
DO NOT attach a PCIe connector to the motherboard. Read your manual and understand what you need to connect before doing so or you will have significant issues that cannot be repaired.
Are you refering to the EPS 4 pin connector located towards teh top of teh board near the CPU for teh 4 pin? If so there should be a 4 pin connector from the PSU, sometimes there is a 4+4 pin connector which is fine to use half of it. .
