Hi!

I bought an EVGA 600W that has a 6+2 pin and my graphics card only accepts 6pin. I plugged in the 6pins without the 2 and it boots up with no display.

How can I fix this? My graphics card is the Nvidia Quadro 4000

Any help is appreciated!

Solution
This is a hp system. Hp uses a TON of nonstandard connectors, and sometimes 24 pins with nonstandard pinout. I have seen the latter with a dell I had.

I would bet HP made it so you cannot easily upgrade the psu in this system.

and the full system spec?
what did you upgrade?

I took out my old power supply and placed in the EVGA one. I connected it to my motherboard all works well. But the EVGA power supply comes with an 6+2pin but my graphics card (4000 quadro) only accepts 6pin

I have an HPZ400
