I will be going to college soon and Iv been a gamer all my life and Iv been looking into a 6 monitor setup for multitasking/coding and just using in general, Im not looking to play games across all 6 screens or anything but that would be a plus. Anyway Im wondering what I would need to add to my current setup to get what I want? I will post my specs below and I would like your input on what I should add to be able to have 6 monitors and keep my current 60+ maxed frame rate on any game.

Specs:
Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117369
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130771
Graphics card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150605
Monitors: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009513
Ram: 4x(16GB) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314

I am thinking I will need to Crossfire and get another one of those graphics cards and I will also need to upgrade my psu but what wattage would you recommend I upgrade to? Any other recommendations, please let me know! Thanks!

VERY VERY outdated graphics card. I'll be surprised if you can even still buy most of them. budget?

Its not very outdated at all, its equal to a GTX 660 and I have yet to see a game that I couldn't run on max settings with 60-80+ FPS. And you can buy them brand new on amazon. Im not sure if you've even looked at the card considering it has 5 outputs. My budget is around $800-$1000

a 660 is outdated >.<

Just out of curiousity what games do you play? I can think of a lot of games that it cant play on max... anyway how exactly do you plan on using 6 monitors when youd only have two outputs on the graphics card? if it was me id put two 980 Ti's. at the bare minimum id think you would need two 970s for the three monitors.

Could be wrong But i believe you cant use all 4 at the same time?I remember something weird like that when i had that card. Anyway i put my opinion up there ^^ take it or leave it :). Just dont expect much at all running 6 monitors ( if thats possible) from that card. goodluck!

I edited my post, the card has 5 outputs if you even bothered to look, and a 660 is only about 3 years old which is not that old... two 970s is a MASSIVE overkill for 6 monitors. If you're going to post please make sure you know what you're talking about, considering Im running 3 monitors right now.

Ok im not going to start a flame war but im going to finish with this. I've been building computers for over 15 years sooo pretty sure i know what im talking about. I had that exact card and it struggled to run any modern game ( that was 1-2 years ago) on one monitor. I had a 780ti and know how hard it is to run three decent monitors ( asus vg248qe ) I had to end up upgrading to dual 980 TI's to actually get decent framerates in most games on them. Do some research around about how well a 2gb card will do with 6 monitors especially in gaming and get back to me :) goodluck and have a nice day :)

P.S. if you dont want opinions dont ask on forums :) thats all they are

Considering you've been wrong with just about everything you've posted you may want to re-think your knowledge about computers cause it seems to be wrong. I'm running that card currently and have never had any problems with maxing out games and getting a good framerate. You also didn't even know or look at the card considering you thought it had 2 outputs. And lastly considering this cards overall world rank is 46 It is still standing very well to this day and would most likely run 6 monitors in a cross-fire setup perfectly fine. Please go troll somewhere else.

I wont give any advice if you dont want it then. I have an honest question though. What games do you play on max with that card? Im rather curious? Also how do you get 60+ fps when your monitors are only 60hz? I just dont see how you could play battlefield, batmans, crysis, witchers, farcrys, and modern type game on that with max settings at 60+fps with more then one screen.

Of course you cant display over 60FPS cause the refresh rate but you're still getting over 60FPS in general. Some games I get over 60FPS are: BF4, BF:Hardline, Far cry series, GTA 5, Arma 3, DayZ, tera, ARK etc..

Keep it civil. You're current one can do 6 but you have to have a dp hub. You can only use 2 legacy ports and the rest need to be on dp. In cf the second card can't output so other than getting more performance, it won't help with more monitors. Although you can have another card and just disable cf. Many will do this with a weaker cheaper card if more performance is not needed.
