Corsair site is really strange that they don't have details about the cable connections. From the photos it appears as though the video cables are the fairly standard 6 + 2 cables. You do not really need a 850 watt power supply if you do not have a higher end video card and all those use 8 pin connectors. I would doubt a power supply this new only has 6 pin cables.
So I think your power supply actually does have 8 pin cables they are just split 6,2.
If you look at what those extra 2 pins do they do not actually provide any power. They use the same 3 wires pairs on the 6 pin connector to get the power. What they tell the video card is the wire size being used is large enough that the video card can draw more power...
