UPDATE: The HDD passes SMART but fails Short DST, is there a way that me running CCleaner made it stop working?
Hello, recently my grandmother asked me to clean up her Laptop. The laptop is a 6 year old HP Pavilion. When I first started it up it worked correctly. Then I ran CCleaner and uninstalled a few programs and shut the computer down. Later I tried to turn it on again but now it just shows the HP logo and dots circling under it. I have left it run for 1 hour and nothing changed. The computer is running Windows 8.1. Please help me and provide methods that do not result in losing data (if possible) since the laptop has many images that I would like to keep.
