60.1 max fps high or low settings

The max fps I am getting on Skyrim and Crisis 2 is 60.1. Does that have anything to do with the 60hz LCD TV I am using as a monitor? I have it set to the native resolution which is something like 168X?x768 ish. Would the performance be any better with say a 27" Asus computer monitor? Could my graphics cards have the wrong or not powerful enough plugs? I am totally lost on why my fps are the same in low and ultra settings. Thanks in advance for any useful information.

That means you have v-sync enabled. Its not a bad thing to have enabled so long as you get CONSTANT 60fps all the time and never drop below.

v-synce synces up your FPS with your monitors refresh rate.
since your monitor can't display anything more then 60fps why waist the workload to make it render more.
