When playing games i always get more than 60 fps, but it doesn't have the smoothness of 60 fps should have. It just feels like 30 fps. The different it quite significant to the 60 fps YouTube videos. What should i do? Please help me.

System specs:
- Intel i5 8300H
- Nvidia GTX 1050 4GB Vram (Driver Version 398.36)
- 4 GB DDR4 Ram
- Windows 10

Thanks in advance!

Solution
If you have more than 60fps in games and have a 60hz monitor it feels unsmooth because the monitor can not handle the high fps(briefly explained).

Turn on Vsync in your games, that should should fix the problem.

So, having higher fps than refresh rate is pointless? Well, okay. Can i cap the framerate instead of using Vsync? Will that do the trick?

Yes, you can not see more than 60 fps if your monitor is 60hz. Invest in a 144hz monitor to take advantage of that higher fps.

Well, Vsync does not allow the fps to go over the monitors refresh rate. Vsync caps the fps at 60 (or whatever your monitors refresh rate is).
