60 fps to 10~

So, my laptop isn't one of the best.. and at the moment I'm really struggling with playing some games. For example League of legends, fortnite.. I'm playing at 60 fps and then I drop to 10 fps. Do you think it's my RAM's fault? My specs:
GeForce GT 635M 2GB
i3-2348M
4 GB
1 TB HDD

It's a mixture of everything, really. The GT 635M is, in some cases, worse than today's iGPU's. 4 GB of RAM is also limiting gameplay, along with the HDD making for slow loading times. Your processor is also rather dated. Are you getting constant 60 FPS or does it vary?

A few things to try...

-Clean the dust from the laptop, this will help with any thermal throttling.
-Update your GPU drivers. http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
-Check your system for viruses/malware.

-Close down any programs running in the background that don't need to be on.
-Lower the resolution/graphic settings in the game.

I play at 60 fps and after while it drops to 10 fps and then back to 60.
