[SOLVED] 60 hz instead of 120

hi guys i just bought a new top of the line tv sony 85 inch x90h ,its says it has 120hz, but when connected to my pc i can only see 60hz, the hdmi connection on the tv is 2.0 and 2.0 for the graphics card on the pc.any idea on what could be causing this ?

That's your problem then.

The TV you purchased only does 120 Hz at 1080p resolution. At other resolutions, it maxes out at 60 Hz.
