Hello guys, i have question. I have 60 Hz monitor - philips 196vl and if i lower windows resolution to 1024x768 i can put it on 75 Hz . But must i put lower resolution in Windows or just when in-game. I mean if i will able to use 75 Hz monitor when i have Windows resolution 1366x768 where is max 60 Hz. Thanks a lot

A utility like this might potentially work to enable higher refresh rates at a given resolution than are officially supported by your monitor...

Here's one guide I just quickly found providing some more details about monitor overclocking, though I only skimmed it, and can't guarantee that it's entirely accurate...

Just keep in mind that running your monitor outside its officially supported ranges could potentially damage it, or might just not work at all.
The trouble is, you are chasing your tail with this, higher refresh rate - lower resolution. The native resolution for this monitor is 1366x768 @ 60Hz. The monitor will not display 1366x768 @ 75Hz as it will be out of range.
Best bet is to upgrade your monitor if you wish to achieve a higher refresh rate and resolution.

Hope this helps,
K

i just want higher refresh rate because i get more than 150fps and i can get it when i lower my resolution in Windows
