600£ Gaming PC. Looking for build

Hello friends, heard this is a great place for questions about computers and hardware, so here we go:


Budget: 600£ +- 50£

Purchase date: probably this week

System usage: Games like rust/dayz/lol/sc2/ect as well as everyday casual usage

parts preference
1) would prefer intel cpu (more options for upgrade in the future given mb connection ? )
2) might consider buying a second monitor later on (DO NOT INCLUDE MONITOR IN BUILD). will be used for work and disabled. Gaming on single monitor. just wondering about connections to GPU
3) I am thinking about buying SSD ~240gb instead of hdd because ssd is nice, but im compact with space and don't need hundreds of GB of space.

do not need no monitor/mouse/keyboard/OS/ just the 'box'. Given future overclocking should I consider a separate cooler and some paste ?

Additional info Would prefer my tower not to make too much noise , also I have little knowledge about computer hardware and have never built a system myself. So my preferences might not make any sense - please let me know.

Do you think it would be a idea worth considering if we cut ~ 30pounds from cpu and add to gpu for something like Msi R9 280x ? is there a considerable difference between 280 and 280x ?

The only reasoning behind my thoughts is that I've heard that a most expensive component in gaming pc should be gpu ? or is it a silly rule to follow ?

EDIT: do you think I should consider a some kind of case cooler ? or they come built in ? Because now if I understand correctly the only will be aftermarket one for cpu and the ones on gpu ?

Most cases will come with fans of their own, so no need to worry about that.

Generally it would be a good idea to spend more on the GPU than the CPU, but to do that you'll need to either get a non-overclockable CPU, or go AMD.

Right.. I will do some read on overclocking and reconsider the benefits of it . Thank you vm! ( or I could just add £ 40 to the budget for gpu )

EDIT: considering im going with 280x what non overclockable cpu would be a decent choice ? ( the motherboard should be different as well ? )

I am finally considering going with the build Eduello first recommended just swapping Gpu with R9 280x , and power supply to 650w.
Skipping on optical drive since it has been years since the last time i used cd's and I might also skip on off market cooler until i decide to overclock.

I have just noticed that in pcpartpicker website under my build it says that this NZXT case is not compatible with selected motherboard and GPU. should I pay attention to this ?

The warning about the case and motherboard simply means that the case doesn't have USB slots on the front, whereas the motherboard would have the connectors for those. The warning about the GPU means that you have to remove some of the drive cages in order to fit the GPU in the case.
