Thanks for the fast reply. I like that build but it's a little ahead of my budget range because I also need to purchase the os.

Drop the thermal paste

I used the arctic silver thermal paste in my last build because a lot of people recommended it. Come to think of it, I might still have some left over. If I find it I'll remove it.

Thank you for the reply. The only thing about this build that I don't like is the case. It can get very hot where i live and overheating has always been an issue, so I'm not sure if one fan will cut it. Also, the graphics card seems like a little overkill for what it will be used for. What do you think of downgrading the gpu in exchange for a case will a good cooling system like the one in my build?




Also, I should mention that $600 is the maximum I am willing to spend on components because tax and shipping will add around $50; anything close to $700 is beyond what I can afford.

Yea it's a budget case. The 300 would be a much better option.

If you are dropping down to a HD6850, get an Antec EA430D PSU for around $40. Better value than the Corsair IMO. That would also probably allow you to get a CM Hyper 212+ off Amazon for $25.
