Approximate Purchase Date: Black Friday to Cyber Monday (i.e. within the next week).
Budget Range: ~$600 (reasonably flexible).
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming - First Person Shooters: Battlefield Bad Company 2, Team Fortress 2, Battlefield 3 (?), etc.
Parts Not Required: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, video card.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Microcenter and Newegg.com
Country of Origin: United States of America.
Parts Preferences: "Bang for the Buck". Nothing too extreme, reasonable performance for a reasonable cost.
Overclocking: Not yet, but down the road to boost performance.
SLI or Crossfire: No.
Monitor Resolution: Something around 1440x900 (~19"-20" monitor).
Additional Comments: I'm looking to build a gaming computer which can play games over the next few years with moderate upgrades (e.g. $100-$200 video cards every year or two). I'm used to playing at low graphics settings, so I don't expect to achieve super-high end graphics, but some eye candy would be nice.
I know my video card is currently lacking (GTX 260), but for $50, I just want it to hold me over for the next several months.
I was hoping to get some comments/suggestions for me to stay closer to my budge of about $600, or have a more "future-proof" system for about the cost of what I have listed below.
