Keep your CPU, it's powerful enough you don't need to upgrade now. Definitely put an aftermarket cooler on it though. For the cooler, go with something like this ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106150 ), or if you want something even cooler (temperature wise) go with this ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608018 ).

I like djangoringo's suggested GPU, but if you want to consider an AMD card, this would be a good option. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202008

These upgrades will give you a great boost in GPU processing power and keep your CPU a lot cooler, and give you room to OC if you want.
There's good options for coolers, i give mine :

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099&Tpk=hyper%20212%20evo (best value)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835709004 (best cooling)

You'll have better temps and even with oc, the temps will be good ones, the intel stock cooler is crap, just get the proper cooler and you'll be fine your cpu is as good as a i5 sandybridge/ivybridge.
As for the gpus either the 670 gtx or the 7970, since you have already a nvidia card, i'd go with the 670 gtx.
