Please clarify what a UBE 580 is as I've never heard of it, nor does a google search for it return anything and it's certainly not on any PSU Tier list. Before I upgraded ANYTHING, I'd either make sure I had a quality PSU installed. None of the other hardware matters in the least without a good quality PSU and unfortunately, 90% of the PSUs out there, especially if they came already installed in a prebuild unit, are crap.

I wouldn't invest 5 dollars much less five hundred, in new components using an old, tired and probably extremely poor to start with, PSU. It's the most important hardware component in the system and for the 50-75 bucks it costs to get a decent one, it never fails to amaze me that it's the most overlooked, by far...

If it's not on this list or doesn't have a thumbs up from Johnnyguru.com (For units not on the list), I would not take a chance with my old hardware much less a new investment of hardware. After that, THEN worry about upgrading other stuff.

If it is a known Tier 2b, 2A or Tier 1 unit, then it's fine but let's make sure first.
