So, I have really crappy internet. On good days I get around 120ms of latency, but usually ~200-600ms of latency (And I use Ethernet! I tried almost everything to get this number down.), and that makes most games unplayable. I have Verizon unlimited, so I get around 15gb if data for my hotspot, and I decided to hook it up to my pc one day, and I get 55-110ms! It was amazing, I could actually be a non-disabled competent teammate! 55-110 isn’t the best, but it certainly is a huge step up from my situation. So, when the hotspot data runs out, it goes to 600kbps speed until the next month, so I was wondering if that was enough to game, and then I don’t have to worry about that cap anyway. Let me rephrase that, can I game and talk in discord? I would still use my home internet for my main stuff, at least until starlink launches, or Verizon 5g is in my area. I have around 1.4 Gb left this month because I used most of it to watch tv, can I still do this, or if 600kbps isn’t enough how can I make that data last on my pc? I games for ~2-3 hours the other day and it only used 481Mb of my data.
