Hello, iam currently playing on 75hz monitor and i want to buy new 1440p 144hz monitor, i have rtx 2070 super so iam sure ill get more then 144fps in online games and it will look great but sometimes i play some singlplayer graphics intense games and iam sure i wont get 144fps. Singleplayer games will run about 70fps and iam scared that it will look laggy for me and it will be unplayeble. I want to know if singlegames will look really bad and if its not better to buy some 1440p 75hz monitor. Thanks for answers and sorry for my bad english. :)

A 2070 should be able to run things just fine at 1440 at higher than 60 fps, did you actually test what your FPS is in games? No it won't look laggy, 144hz is what the monitor CAN do, does not mean it will try to force your system to reach that.

What is important to know is that the 144 hz is not a locked refresh rate and your monitor will just display at the rate your pc outputs. for example, I upgraded to a 144 hz display and I only have an rx 5700. Many games don't reach 144 hz, but the output looks just as good, if not better, when I can't reach 144 fps.

Like hang-the-9 is saying, 144 hz is what it can do and it will not try to do more than your pc is outputting.
