Hi guys
I just want to ask if 60fps (with vsync) on 60hz monitor is still smoother than random fps (like 65-80fps without vsync) on 144hz monitor. i know i cant reach 144fps. will there be stutter, tearing or anything that can hurt my eyes while playing at random framerate on 144hz? i plan to buy a new 144hz 1080p monitor but i am confused right now. will it be worth it?
i play gta v, witcher 3, watchdogs 2, wwe 2k18 and nba 2k19, pubg.

-Im running on gtx 1060 6gb, i5-4460, 16gb ram

The refresh times are totally different. On a 60hz it's basically 60/30/20/15, i don't remember the exact ms timing off the top of my head, but on a 144hz it's 144/72/48/36/28.8fps. If you can get a constant 72fps or higher in your games then it would be worth it and you will really notice the difference. Technically it would be better even lower than that, but I think that's kind of the starting point where you can really justify the price.
