I mostly play World of Warcraft and couple other games. I'm really shooting to play WoW in ultra at 60fps at least. Was looking to upgrade to 1440p but it seems it be expensive to both gpu and monitor at this time. If anyone has solution for that option it'd be greatly appreciated. But if not looking to at least run it on my 1080p for now.

Setup now
Cpu- ryzen7 2700x
Gpu- gtx 1050ti
Ram- 16gb ddr4 3000

What's wrong with 75hz? Especially with WoW, higher refresh is not really needed for it if it's your primary game and getting something with a good adaptive range works well (75hz user here). Even games like the Division don't really benefit above 75-100hz as well. Tried 75hz and 144hz when I had my 1080 ti and it really didn't make much of a difference, hardly noticeable. Unless your going for competitive FPS there's no need for 144hz+ and even still I do well in Battlefield on 75hz.

Not a fan of used GPU's either unless I personally know the seller.

For a little above your budget you can get this.

Video Card: Zotac GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB GAMING Video Card ($319.99 @ B&H)

So would a gtx 1660ti and 1440p monitor be good? Or should I aim higher?

If you want to do 1440P then the 5700 would allow you to do 100+ FPS 1440P gaming but again bad drivers.

If you want to do 60FPS 1440P or are happy at 1080P then either the 1660ti or 1660Super (they are close in performance, but if the 1660ti is close in cost to the 1660 Super get it, if not save yoru money)

Have you tried to rollback last years drivers for RX 5700 , did this fix the issue (ddu in between and "clean install)?

So I could get 60fps on high with the 1660ti at 1440p? Would you recommend going higher than the 1660 since 5700 having issues maybe avoid it it?

The RTX 2060 Super is an absolutely fantastic card and is more powerful then the 5700 but also is 50-100 dollars more. I think the cheapest RTX 2060 Super is 399, or for around 350 you can find referbished ones.

edit: that EVGA one is actually only 379 after a 20 dollar rebate. That's a very good deal for a new 2060 super

You could also look around eBay for a used non Super RTX 2060 (alot of people traded up to the RTX Supers from the non supers so there are alot of used ones) which in real world performance are about the same as a 5700.

I've tried a bunch of different version, so far the latest ones have made the black screen flicker the shortest but it still persists. I know some people have fixed there issues but most people have just found ways to limit it, As I said great hardware but terrible drivers, and honestly I wouldn't recommend the cards to anyone until the drivers are stable.

If I get the 2060 super is there a good 1440p monitor to pair it with that doesn overkill the budget

This is the monitor I have, well the black version, https://www.amazon.com/GN27DB-27-Inch-Monitor-FreeSync-GamePlus/dp/B07H8MQ2Y1?th=1 and I have been quite happy with it. Its a Samsung VA Panel and IMO is one of the nicer VA panels I've used. You coudl also look around for a nice IPS monitor but they are still quite expensive for a decent gaming one.

And my buddy who also bought it has a RTX 2070 and the freesync/adaptive on this monitor works without any issue with Nvidia cards.

+1 , also with nvidia cards you usually get really nice overclock without raising any voltages (no harm done). I had 600 700 and 900 series cards and every single one had 20%+ performance boost just by overclocking.

Someone needs to confirm this is still a thing with 10 and 20 series cards, hope so really.

For 1440P I wouldn't go anything less then the RX 5700, maybe 1660S for your budget but that may not get you to High/Ultra. As for the drivers they were originally a mess but by now I'm sure there far more stable then they were.

They are better but still a mess for being this far in and AMD really needs to step up their game. Not to mention all the "extras" like streaming, recording etc included int eh driver software still is broken as hell.

As far as the drivers It still seems like the problems are very random from person to person, as I've said I got lucky and mines just a quite black screen flicker after I get into windows. And As I linked he could get a new EVGA 2060 Super for 379 which IMO is def worth the cost compared to saving the money and getting a 5700.

So I'd be looking roughly 800$ with the gpu and monitor you suggested. And what would be good deal on a regular 2060 that you'd get vs the super?

Looking on eBay they seem to be floating between 250-320 bucks which seems about right. Id say 280-300 is more then reasonable for a used normal 2060. Also be sure to check out Facebook Marketplace, you can find good deals on there and try and haggle, plug you have the advantage of seeing the product before buying it.

Is there a reason to switch from ultra to high? Also is it possible to get a 1440p monitor and a 5700 in that price range?

In most every single game I have ever played, I cannot tell a differance in visual appearance from High or Ultra. Maybe on specific settings like "Shadows" you see a bit of a differance, or maybe AA. But as an overall for things like "Bloom" or things like "Ambient Occlusion" 90% of games you will be VERY hard pressed to actually see a visual difference unless your zoomed in with a microscope.

Its always nice to be able to play on Ultra at the desired FPS of the user, however High and Ultra usually show MINIMAL visual quality increase, but come with a pretty hefty performance decrease. Its up to you as a user to define wether the differance is so good that you HAVE to have it on Ultra.

As far as trying to squeeze a bit more performance out, have you overclocked your GPU and CPU? Typically a gpu overclock will give about a 8-15% fps increase depending on the game, and a CPU overclock will give like a 4-5% increase in most titles, maybe 5-10% in some others.

If wanting to get a new GPU and Monitor I would suggest something like the 5700 or the 2060 for 1440p. But honestly any monitor thats 1440p and 144hz, and is any good, is going to be about 300-400$ on its own and the 2 gpus I listen are around 270-300 so your budget doesnt look very friendly with what your looking to have. You may be able to find a cheap 1440p 144hz monitor but it will look bad and probably have a lot of ghosting/bad viewing angles/color accuracy.. etc.

But if your only looking to run at 60hz anyways on max settings a 1080p 75hz monitor would be more than enough and I know of a GREAT one for gaming for about 170 bucks. The Asus VG245H.

I have bought tons of used parts and the only ones which have issues are GPU:s and Power supplies. Buying monitor used (only when you physically see it before buying) is fine, but you never know about graphics cards which are older than 1-2 years. If you go with 2060 or 2060super i suggest a model with best temperatures under load, ive had 600 700 and 900 series windforces (3fans) and these run super cool under any load or overclock. Also MSI dual fan models run quite cool, just look for reviews.
