60GB SSD + 1TB HDD Raid. How can i raid that things ?

Hello guys,

Today I purchased SSD and HDD for my new build pc. My PC skills not very well, but i know something called like RAID. So thats my question.

I got: x1 Corsair 60GB SSD and x1 WD 1TB HDD.
How can i raid my drives? I got a lot of BIOS option like: AHCI, Legacy, IDE etc.

Can someone help me for installing my SSD+HDD Raid ?

You can't RAID them; and if you could you wouldn't want to. It would drag the SSD down to the speed of the HDD, which would be rather a waste of money.

You cannot. Nor do you want to.

RAID 1 - mirrored - 60GB + 1TB = 60GB RAID volume, running very slowly.
RAID 0 - Striped - 60GB + 1TB = 120GB RAID volume, running very slowly.

I don't know where you got the idea that this was a good thing...but it is not.

I just want to use SSD for OS. I'll put/install games, musics on my HDD. Is it bad idea? and also what i need to do now ?

Yes, that is the preferred way to do things.

Okey my friend thanks for your tutorial, also is there any configuration video for this thing ? Because my HDD is not seeing on "My Computer" window. :S

Have you partitioned and formatted it using "Disk Management"? It won't appear in "My Computer" until you do that.
