is the 60GXP 40GB really 40GB big? because i only see it as a 38.3GB or 39260MB in my NTFS WinXP or FAT32 WinME...

how does the 60GXP 60GB compare to the D740X 80GB, 1000BB, and 1000BB-SE in terms of noise and performance?...i'm planning to purchase one of these drive as my second HDD. it'll be run as a primary and system drive...

thanks guys!

I try to smile everyday but I can't...

It's probably the thing about 1kb = 1024bytes. So yes, it should be 40GB. The 60GXP uses 20GB platters anyway, so it's either 20GB, 40GB, 60GB, etc...

I have a 60GXP 60gig (master) and a WD 800BB 80gig (slave). The 60GXP is faster and quieter.
