Is it worth buying a 120hz monitor? Im mainly associated with bf4 and hardline.

I might SLI with dual gtx 970s but i heard its a waste with a 60hz monitor, so 1 card is better.

I dont want my monitor to limit my systems capabilities.

Any insight is great thanks!

120hz monitors are much cheaper than QHD and UHD monitors. However, what kind of games do you play? Are you a counter-strike junky? do you play a lot of twitchy shooters?

The choice between 120hz and QHD comes down to higher FPS vs better image fidelity. If you are SLI 970s, you should probably pick at least one. I personally prefer the smoothness of a 120hz monitor, but thats because my wife wouldn't let me spend $400 on a monitor 😛

@blue17echo

Arent 120hz monitors over 400? Im not fussed at all about resolution like 4k. 1080/1440 and id be happy.

I keep hearing smoothness is great for FPS games. Not so interested in CS (GO) atm.

If i get a 120hz monitor i dont want it to be a waste. So i want to SLI to get what i can from tje screen.
