610 Watt Power supply for SLI 8800 GTX

Hey guys I was wondering if a 610 watt Kingston power supply could run SLI 8800 GTXs, i also have a AMD 64X 6000 Dual core, processor.

Sounds pretty doable. Buy one locally and test it out...

But nobody can tell you definitively whether it will work or not. It's something that can only be answered by testing.

For the 8800GT it is reccommended to have a 550 watt PSU for SLI but will have no problems running on a 500 watt PSU. But if you have some cheap PSU then it might have trouble but it shouldn't.

Note: The 9800 GT is just a rebranded 8800 so the requirement are about the same.

The 9800 was made on a 55nm process instead of a 65nm process for better power consumption.
