I am running Orthos (trying it instead of prime95) and my temps are at 62. If I were to let my system run at full load 24/7 what is the estimated life of the cpu at this temp?

62 degrees is a great temperature, that's around 20C. You have no reason at all to be worried at that temperature. It should last a long time at that temp.

62 Degrees Celsius? What temperature monitoring tool are you using? Coretemp is about 12 degrees hgher than Asus PC Probe or other M/B monitoring utility. 62 C in Cortemp is great, that's not so great for M/B CPU temp monitoring on a 6600. More details please.

I am using Coretemp and it is celcius. It seems most people are getting temps at load on OC'd systems in the low-mid 50's

I disagree, there are only two ways to get Core temps of 50degC on load is by having a top CPU that needs 1.2V to do 3.2G+ or by having decent cooling.

At 3.4 I am doing around 65 coretemp using TAT load tester.

Which I reckon is acceptable

With a 6400 overclocked to 3.2 Ghz using an Arctic Cooling 7 Pro in a P-180 case with the fans running at medium speed I get a max of 62 C in coretemp.

Ah, sorry I answered your question wrong...I'm from the US, I assumed by degrees you mean Fahrenheit...

I'm from the US too, but since everyone always uses celcius when talking about temps I didn't think I had to specify.

I think those temps were fine.

I think someone should put together a sticky that mentions all the acceptable temps for ocers. It seems like one of the most frequent asked question besides "how to oc" is "how is my temp". Someone should look into this a put a stickie for both Intel and AMD, that would be great and saves a lot of not needed questions.

Yeah in most cases all temps in the tech world will be in Celcius, as for the CPU... put it this way..

If you can touch the HSF without burning your finger.. consider the temps are fine and the temp sensor off calibrated.

62C is like 143F...
