6300 9x200=1.8Ghz?

I'm looking at the OC guide, says 6300 is 7x200=1.8Ghz??

Mine shows in Bios (and Windows) as 9x200 when I enable Manual control in BIOS.

I tried setting 9x266 but it just beps and restarts (couple times) then resets itself to 9x200.

I have not done anyting with RAM speed or voltage...

Worse part - I had this OCed before to 2.7Ghz, but I can't remebmer how It must have reset itself...

Yes, the C2D E6300 is 266x7=1.86GHz. I'd say that's just a typographical error, 200 instead of 266. (Pentium E6300 is 266x10.5=2.8GHz).

Some boards will reset themselves after unsuccessful starts if BIOS settings are incorrect, others need CMOS cleared.

Set the cpu clock to Auto to make sure you can boot using default settings. Clock speed should be 266x7, check it in Windows as well.
