As my friend is buying my CPU off me (fx-6100) i need a new cpu i narrowed it down to 2. Either a FX-6350 or a FX-8320, similar prices i was wandering what are the actual performance differences; particularly in games.

Solution
If you don't overclock, get the 6350, if you intend to OC, get the 8320. The clock speed advantage on the 6350 will make no difference if you OC.
It isn't a big difference either way, but the higher clock speed should make the FX6350 a touch faster in games. The FX8320 will do better in applications that can actually use all 8 cores (like video editing), but games generally don't use more than 4

when you say over clocking, does that also include turboing?
