Hey there, so I'm a little new at this but I really need some help. I'm an avid Minecraft player and I recently had to reinstall, which is when I noticed the issue. When asking me about the rendering it said I needed a 64 bit java for 'far' rendering, so I went to java's site and proceeded to download. Now here's what happened, the installer box came up, I accepted and an error box opens telling me this and I quote. "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher." End quote.

So I get confused and check my settings and my system version and sure enough it /IS/ x64 bit, but for some reason Java won't install.. Can anyone help me with this? It would be greatly appreciated.
