Apparently, you can either install the msi patch or manually install the
game.

I suggest using the msi patch/copying cds, and if that doesn't work, msi
patch and a manual install.
From the very first link, it seems you need the NoCd crack
(megagames.com) to run Doom3 on 64-bit, although I don't know why that'd
be an issue. I'm not very up-to-speed on the 64-bit OS, so if there is
some way to run in 32-bit mode, that seems to work fine for the person
who made the first post on that same link.
