64 Bit Java Won't Install?

I'm running windows 10 on a 64 bit machine. While attempting to play minecraft, I discovered that apparently I only had 32 bit java installed (thanks to the lag). I attempted to install 64 bit, and it says that I have installed it correctly. However, in the control panel, only one Java version shows up (labelled 32 bit). In addition, chrome does not support the necessary API to run Java's provided version checker so that I can verify if it has installed but simply not appeared in the menu. And my game is still laggy as all hell.

Microsoft edge (I was desperate, okay?) tells me that windows 10 as a whole does not support that tool. As I am running windows 10, it appears that I can't verify if 64 bit has installed or not. Is there a way to check if it has installed without consulting Java's webpage? If not, how can I be certain that it has installed/is working?
