64bit OS won`t except 8gb Ram

Hi, My Laptop is a 64bit windows 7 OS with 3gb ram 1 x 1gb,1 x 2gb. I have purchased 2 x 4gb to bring it up to 8gb ram. every time I install the new ram the OS will not boot. goes into safe mode and is in a loop. unable to get passed the safe mode. when I put the old ram back in it works fine.

Any ideas why

Could be the RAM you got is not compatible with the motherboard/laptop, did you check that first?

Yes i checked that first. I purchased the same specifications as the original ram and the same manufacture, Kingston

Did you see if the system can run 8 gig of RAM? Correct density? Try one of those new RAM sticks at a time? Aldo do a BIOS update on the laptop before installing new RAM, a new BIOS can help with new hardware compatibility.
