This is FAR too much to justify spending on a phone. This model would be strictly for fanboys and nothing more. No one in their right mind could justify a $1000 purchase of a phone that will be outdated in a year... And it's only a damn phone!

Nice competitive pricing, Samsung. Who are you competing with? Your imagination?

I'll admit, I've never owned or used a smartphone before - my cell phone serves me perfectly well - so I don't see the entire value of them to begin with. But I can't see any justification for paying $1000 for a smartphone. Not even if it would wake me up, cook me breakfast, and clean up after itself.

It's most likely not going to be $1000, since that is just the price based on the conversion rate from Euros to Dollars, which also includes VAT (as noted below the price).

The price will probably be $799 or so, which is still quite high.

Food for thought...

The iPhone 5 64gb is 850$ off contract..... Just saying.

Also, I can't imagine a ton of people buying these outright. It seems like it would just end up being bought on contract.

Ahh, I will just correct myself, I see that it is 800 euros, not usd. Damn... that's expensive lmao.

I had a 32Gb iphone 4 and I never got over 40% of used space, now I have a 16Gb SGS3 with a 32Gb microSD.

I don't see the point of a 64Gb SGS3 if you have a microSD slot on the phone.

[citation][nom]nuvon[/nom]Strange, no comments from iHaters....[/citation]

Apple fans have more sense than to bash anything Android related. Unlike iHaters (people that bash Apple). Get it right! heh.

[citation][nom]otacon72[/nom]Now that's an Applesque pricing move.[/citation]
People are comparing Italian prices with the ones practiced in America. To put things in perspective, the iPhone 4S 64GB at the same store costs 995,99€ (1282$).
