My pc specs are
Amd fx 8350
Msi 970 gaming mobo
Msi gtx 970
8gigs of corsair vengeance ram 4gb each
2 wd hdd black and blue
1 optical drive
Corsair h75 cooler
3 extra fans.

Will the 650 be enough or should I get the 750 because I have vs 650 for a year and half now I have been experiencing shutdowns with no bluescreen when gaming, only while gaming Web browsing and videos are fine. I have read it's because of the psu all my Temps are good please help if I'm wrong.

Im also not 100% sure but i would guess that the PSU is the problem, because it only happens under heavy load and the rest of the system looks totally fine. I'd get the new PSU anyway, because the VS series is really a bad quality one. You can take a look at this list:

I think the VS is in tier 4 while the HX is in tier 1.
650w is more than enough but the VS series is pretty bad so that may be the problem. And yes, the HX series from Corsair is very good. If the PSU is the problem getting a HX series PSU will fix everything. Even 600w would be enough.

Sounds like the PSU sure, but other components can also cause a system to be unstable when put under a heavy load. You could have at least tested the PSU rails and see if it is indeed the culprit. You can always use a DMM to measure each voltages on each rail while the system is under load and find out if they are within ATX spec. By doing this, you will have a good amount of data to back up your assumption.

Here's how you test PSU rails; http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDFAQs&op=FAQ_Question&ndfaq_id=28

I really do hope that its the PSU and not something else, as PSUs are easier to swap out.

I don't have a multimeter and the psu tester or friends who would lend me one not because the won't they aren't here or near me so 1 question my 12v on bios is 11.6 something and the 3.3v is aroaround 3.2 something is that normal?
