So you say it does work, despite the fact that on the page of the manufacter it says "Supports Intel® 45nm Multi-Core processors" and only that.

It says right on the link you gave under Tech Support scroll down to the bottom and click "Cpu Support List" and it lists pretty much every LGA 775 cpu ever made. So yes it does support both 65nm and 45nm cpu's.

Ok 45NM CPU's are Newer. 65NM CPU's are older. You can almost always put an older CPU in a newer motherboard with the same socket but not always vise vesa IE Some Pentium D motherboards wouldn't take newer C2D/C2Q cpu's even though they were the same socket. But (almost) all C2D/C2Q will take older cpu's such as the Pentium D series.But yes your motherboard WILL take that CPU
