660 or 670?

I'm looking at the gtx 660 FTW Signature 2 by EVGA and the gtx 670 Power Edition by MSI.

The 660 is $240 and the 670 is $380.

I plan on playing games on 1080p paired with 8gb ram and an i5 3570k at stock clocks (for now) on high or ultra settings. Is the 670 worth the extra money or should I go with the 660 and pocket $140?

I would honestly wait untill the 770 comes out in a few months if you had to go now the 670 is a better card

It depends, if you have the money for a 670 gtx, get the 670 gtx, it's better for gaming at ultra settings.
If you're in a tight budget you might consider the 660 ti.

Not asking about the 660 ti in this case. I've heard a lot of bad things about the memory bus and how it can bottleneck so I'm more interested in the 660 vs 670.

Like someone else said I would wait to get an expensive graphics card until the 700 series comes out, if you really want a graphics card right now I would say get the 660 or something even cheaper.(like a gtx 650 ti or hd 7850)

Honestly i agree. I wouldnt even buy a 600 series at the moment untill 700 are out and if they dont fit the bill then atleast get a 670 but i can see the 770 would be a improvement. See thing bout it is if you get one of the 600 series now you will sit back and think "f i should of waited" when they start leaking out full specs/rumors of the new cards. This happens alot and we right around the corner so i would suggest waiting..A 670 is the better card and i have the 660ti no problems but i game at 4xaa at 1080p and im looking foward to getting a 770 or 780

Just wanted to say that I doubt Nvidia will make the same mistake with the 770, like it did with the 670 (performance is too close to 680, leaving them to be purchased rather than the 680.)
