660 ti sc in sli with 660 ti ftw?

so basically from what i know to run a card in SLI you need both cards to have the same chip thats all i know but will the EVGA Geforce GTX 660 ti sc work in sli with an EVGA Geforce 660 ti FTW the EVGA Geforce GTX 660 ti sc that I already own and am very happy with is the 2GB model (if there are any others) will the 3GB model of the EVGA Geforce GTX 660 ti FTW work with the 2GB model that i own or will i need to get the same amount of vram?

There might be issues with the different amounts of RAM, it never used to be an issue but things have changed over the years.

so if i got the 2GB version it would run in SLI with my card just fine?
