Hello, I recently made a new pic last month long story short every thing was new except my cpu cooler it's the H80i GT first gen I got that when they first came out. My pic has been running smooth both my gpu and cpu (6600k) are overclocked without the voltages changed. In corsair link I have the temp warning on at 60c and the entire month I had this pc the warning led never came on but this night it did and I started to hear a strange sound, so I opened corsair link and it said 99-100c. Thinking maybe I just needed to let it cool off an hour later I turned it on the temps were cool for about 10 minutes shot up to 80-90 from around the 30s. Could it be my cpu cooler finally gave up?

Btw it was even sitting at 100c in the Bios too afraid to turn it on at this point

Yes I would say it is. I would make sure to check the mounting though first. Just reseat it and make sure it has TIM on it. You did put some TIM on the IHS right?
Try remounting it with fresh TIM. It could quite possibly be a dead pump, next time you boot it after remounting feel the radiator see if it's hot and see if you can hear the pump working.

If you've overclocked and haven't changed voltages it could quite possibly be in "auto" mode and frying the CPU, do a CMOS reset first and see if that helps, it'll wipe the overclock and changes in BIOS.

Yeah I let it sit in the bios for about 5mins watched it slowly move up in Celsius, once it reached 90c I shut my pc off and felt my radiator, it was cold so is it safe to say it's dead (cooler)?
