Hello community. I have a Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3, 3770k 4.8ghz, Fractal Arc mini, AX850psu, and a single gtx 660ti.

I'm considering buying a second gtx 660ti for sli, but I was reading the specifications on my motherboard and the Pcie slot, (third from the top), Is only wired in for Pcie 4x. 660ti's are double slot so I wouldn't be able to run one in the bottom most slot. So what i want to know is would it not be a good idea to to buy another 660ti and run it in the the 4x slot? Would the performance drop be enough to make it not worth it?

Thanks, -Guster.

Hmm I recently ordered a motherboard and looked into this. Maybe it's different now (470s are a bit older now) maybe he's running one for dedicated physx, guess I can't really help you. Someone else will clear it up for us both, I would like to know for sure now as well.
