Hi TH Community,

My system is a little over due for an update in graphics but sadly I am not up to date on what my best options are right now.

System:
CPU: i5-3570k
Mobo: Asrock Z77 extreme6
Main Drive: Intel 335, 240gb ssd
RAM: 8Gb G.Skill Ripjaws.
OS: windows 7
GPU: MSI twin Frz 660ti
Display: 27" Asus 1920x1200 ips display

So I have read a little bit about the current offerings in gpus and it seems as if there are a lot of options available. I would prefer to stick with nvidia but if ati (now amd?) has a better offering I dont mind switching. Should I use my old gpu as a designated physix card? should I try to find another 660ti so for sli? Is that even worth it at this point?

My price point will be in the 200-300$ range. Though honestly I am in my last year of university so if I can get by without blowing too much that would be helpful.

Goals:
Improve performance in gaming if possible
Improve rendering speeds for video editing

Secondary
Allow for a second 1920x1080 monitor to be added

Thanks so much for the help!

can I sell the 660ti for any thing?
