About to build a new system. I heard about the GTX 770, but I kept it in the back of my mind. I was going to build my PC with the GTX 670 FTW, would the 770 have better performance? If it will, I can wait since it's in the same price range.

the 770 is going to be a rebranded 680 of the 4gb variety, while the 760ti is a rebranded 670. so the 770 is just a marginal upgrade coming from a 670. unless someone says otherwise, prices doesn't look like they'll change significantly.

So the 770 is the 680 But at the same price as a 670?

same price as a 4gb 680.
the pricing is looks like it will be based off the titan ($1000, GK110). then you have the 780 (aka, titan le, GK110). Price has not been officially announced for the 780 but speculation puts it in the $750-800 range. The 4gb 680 currently sells at $520-590 on newegg, which looks like where the 770 will end up.

I've never seen this website before, so I doubt the price is correct. But here:

Not sure about that price as there's a lot of speculation going on (http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/nvidia_geforce_gtx_780gtx_770_and_gtx_760_ti.html) and we'll just have to wait a couple more weeks until then. If its right, the prices of the other cards will go down as the 4gb 680 (770) will wedge itself into the 7970 price range and drive the prices of the other gtx cards down, most notably on the 670 (760ti) and the 660ti (760?). but then again... speculation, wait and see.

I say wait till the 770 comes out and dont get all worried over rumors. If you just can't wait then buy the card you want now thats out. comparing a card that is only rumored to a card that is out just doesn't work
