My i7 6700 is running at around 50 degrees Celsius

is that normal?

Games: Rainbow Six Siege
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Custom cooler: (prebuilt pc)(MSI Aegis)

Specs: i7 6700
32 gb sodimm RAM
512 gb ssd (ADATA)
1 tb hdd (wd caviar blue)
msi 1060 ocv1 3gb

Solution
50 degrees C is not normal for idle temps...Low to mid 30's c is normal. What CPU cooler are you using? I would re-install the CPU cooler. Even the standard CPU cooler from Intel should not be giving you those idle temps...

Better yet, if it is the standard cooler buy something a little better like a Hyper 212..anything is better than the standard cpu cooler that Intel provides.

My computer has a cooling solution soldered on. I just want to know if it is worth buying a new mobo, ram, and power supply
