Good Morning All,

I have a dilemma to put to you all. Have just finished a fresh build (this is my first build, as I am an ex console gamer), I was playing Doom Eternal and I heard a strange noise coming from the GPU. I have done some research and I not suspect it to be coil whine. The sound goes away when I apply the slightest pressure to the far right hand side. I suspect its something to do with the casing or the housing of the fan. I have attached a video, be sure to turn the sound all the way up to hear the issue.

I have managed to recreate the sound when running FurMark. The sound only happens when the fans are at a high rpm.

I put this problem to you the expert community! Thank you for your help and advise in advance!

Regards

You might've poorly mounted the GPU.
Make sure to tighten the screw that's on the back of the GPU, that's connecting to the case.
If that doesn't work, personally I would just put something below the right side of the GPU to support it, so it would take care of the noise.

Coil whine is often caused by instances in a game where the FPS rate skyrockets (transitional screens and pre-recorded cinematics). Adrenalin has a feature called "Radeon Chill". If you set that to limit your FPS to your monitor's refresh rate, it should solve the problem.
