I just put together my new skylake build and my cpu temp idle is around 40c. I have my cooler set up like the following on my Corsair 500r.

--------------------- radiator
---------------------case
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^fans

my cpu fan is running at around 1100 RPM and I have it set manually set to full speed in the bios. I cant use corsair link because it crashes my computer during installation.

Any help would be appreciated thanks guys.

Used Aida64 stress test and I was getting 56c-67c I I think it said the average was 58c. CPUID says current values are around 19c-20c idle but the max is at 41c-47c. When I go into my bios its says its running at around 30c.

Sorry I'm a bit new new to water cooling and overclocking although I haven't even tried to overclock yet..

Ok got Corsair link to work and it says my cpu temp is running at 18-19c thats pretty much idle. But I have a few more questions

1) Corsair link is only showing 1 of the fans on my radiator

2)what speed should my fans be running at? Right now I have the one set to around 1500 rpm

3)I want to overclock my 6700k and I was thinking of just using the TPU switch which I thinks puts it at 4.6Ghz. I've used the first profile but every time I do it turns my XMP profile off. I would like my Cpu to be at 4.6 and my memory to be at 2666Mhz.

I used the tpu switch to overclock to 4.6 and with prime95 26.6 I'm getting temps around 68-70c. I turned my fan up in Corsair link but its only showing 1 fan so I don't know if the 2nd fan is running at 1000rpm or 2800rpm.

If that is under Prime, then those temps under load looks good to me, as Skylake CPUs likes to pull extra volts during stress test such as Prime. Extra voltage would always translate to extra heat.

Corsair Link reading 1 fan is normal for H100i GTX. That way both fans are always in sync when you customize the fan curve or when you set up the profile. Besides you don't want those fans to run a different rpms, that's not optimal.

Hey might be a bit late but if you're still having trouble with Corsair link, try SIV (system information viewer)
http://rh-software.com
You can control alot of c-link hardware through it and it's way more reliable than c-link
