6700k not overclocking??

hello i have a i7 6700k and a msi gaming pro carbon z170a and it seems like if i even try to overclock to 4.3ghz it just wont become stable...only way i can get it stable is if i give it 1.320volts at 4.3ghz but that just seems high to me idk please help

Well, you can Google around to see what people opine is a "safe" voltage for this CPU though at a quick glance this review is using 1.35V for a 4.6GHz (all cores) overclock:

It's very hard to say what is "safe" and what's not safe when overclocking since statistically these CPU's have to be around a few years, though I wouldn't get too close to where the CPU's tend to fail.

I'd say maybe 1.35V is the "safest" maximum voltage and keep in mind it won't necessarily kill your CPU either as you may be able to just drop the frequency and voltage later if it...
