6700k vs 8700k cpu spikes?

Hello, recently while playing games like PUBG iv noticed CPU spikes. If i have any browser open with a stream open as well as PUBG my cpu will randomly spike to 100% causing frame issues in game. I was basically wondering the potential cpu usage of a 8700k vs my 6700k for games like PUBG. Would i be able to Multitask as far as my CPU usage goes? Other components (980 ti, 32 gigs of ram) but mainly the CPU spikes that cause issues. worth the upgrade? - Thanks

It would but the i7 should handle PUBG. Check task manager to see if any other programs are using up CPU/resources. Could be a background task you dont need.

That would be my guess as well. Are there any updates, malware scans or backups running?
