6800k Stress Test - High Temps

Hello ,

I recently build my computer, with the following specs :

MB : Asus X99 A II
CPU: 6800k
Ram : 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000MHZ
CPU Cooler : Cooler Master V8 ver.2
PSU: Corsair RM750i

I also have x2 Noctua NF-A14A 140 mm Industrial - 3000 & x2 Corsair Sp120 - 2000

Now , I think there is something wrong with the temps. Idle-ing in Bios , I sit at around 43c with the default settings ( only manually RAM to 3000 Mhz ). Gaming and such, I sit at around 70 or something. Nothing too worrying , but doing some stress tests , I saw how high my temps go in comparation with others with the same CPU.

Below are the images :

Now , I am in the fence of changing something. I am sure that the thermal pasta was well put. I read the reviews of the CM V8 ver.2 and it seems is a good air cooler. I do know that the 6800k might have higher temps, but idle-ing at around 43 c and on stress test having between 85-99 c is .. worrying me.

So , I was about to change the cooler , with an H110i but then I said it would not help much , since my air cooler is pretty OK. Now it remains if the CPU is the problem here and if I should ask for an replacement.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Oh well! It has been around 6 years since I last build a computer :)

It seems I didn't removed the plastic.. thing on cooler , after I first installed, lol.

Now I am sitting at around 31/32 c on idle , 50 c on Aida64 stress test and Prime95 Blend option , and 59 c on Prime95 SmallFFT's option.

And I asked for a return of the Cooler few hours ago. It seems I will cancel that :)
