First off i would like to say thank you for reading my thread! :hello:
I have been recently been playing Bbc2 on my new 6850. But whenever i play play it, I get stuttering whenever i run or drive/fly. Its not extreme, but it does get on my nerves since its only a one month old card. It does it both overclocked and standard factory clocked.
And i've downloaded the latest drivers.
Specs:
Amd 1100t X6 core @3.3ghz
Powercolor 6850 standard clocks
3gigs of ddr2 1066mhz
Ocz 500watt modular power supply. (with a 12v rail on 28 amps, so plenty of power 😉 )
Seagate baracuda 300gig at 7200rpm.

Thanks for looking and for your help!
Eli

go to the control panel, go to the system tab, click ADVANCED SETTINGS, go to the ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS TAB, on that tab you will see a section called PERFORMANCE with a settings button, click it. on that page you will see a tab called ADVANCED with a section called VIRTUAL MEMORY. it is currently set to your system default amout whatever number that may be. click CHANGE. on that page it there will be a button labeled NO PAGE FILE, click it and restart your comp.

you're running an odd memory amount keeping you from running in dual channel mode ( ganged )... which you need to set in the BIOS. The 6850 with it's 1gig of vram cannot give you stutter free performance. Lower your resolution and play with your settings in the CCC and in the games control panel. You may also have a bad over clock on the ram or not providing enough voltage to it... ??? Is there a DX9 mode for this game ? If so try it.

Well it sounds like something is bottle-necking during demanding content in both bbc2 and starcraft 2. Have you tried running a benchmark like 3dMark? It will allow you to compare your results to similar systems and confirm that your GPU is performing where it should, CPU, ram etc. Sandra is another one that gives more info on ram and cpu benchmarks than 3dmark.

Ok, so i downloaded both of those. And i didn't like them lol! But i did like uningine; now that is some amazing software.
So is this uningine benchmark good for the 6850?
